Last Friday tragedy struck the hockey world as a Canadian junior hockey team was involved in a deadly crash. The Humboldt Broncos were headed to a playoff hockey game when their bus collided with a tractor-trailer.

Unfortunately, 10 players, the team statistician, the team radio announcer, team bus driver, and two coaches were tragically killed in the crash.

Since the crash the hockey world, and sports world, have come together to raise funds for the tragedy experienced in Canada.

The Binghamton Devils will use their regular season finale this Saturday April 14th at 7:05 p.m. to raise much needed funds for the victims of the Humboldt Broncos crash.

The Devils will conduct their usual 50/50 drawing with all proceeds going towards the Broncos. The Devils will also be hosting an autographed merchandise raffle on the concourse and collection bins for single donations will be placed behind sections one and 14 as well.

The Binghamton Devils team and players have already donated over $2,800 to the victims families and teammates.

The GoFundMe page for the Humboldt Broncos has already become the 5th largest fundraising effort on the site in it's history. Donations can be made here.

The hockey community is also showing support for the Broncos by leaving their "sticks out." This worldwide initiative is helping remember the lives lost and helping their spirits pick up the sticks and play anytime they want. Read more here.
