The Binghamton City School District is among those listed in the New York State Comptroller’s Office audit of physical education programs as not making the grade.

None of the ten districts audited by Thomas DiNapoli’s Office had developed Phys. Ed. plans meeting the State Education Department regulations, including required amount of time exercising.

In addition to being cited for failing to have the required number of PE classes in elementary grades, the report said the Binghamton district plans were not approved by the board or filed with the State Education Department.
